For two weeks, Felbm immersed himself in seclusion at Buitenplaats Doornburgh, a converted monastery on the outskirts of Utrecht. Employing solely natural elements such as singing bowls and an array of wooden percussion instruments, he crafted 50 minutes of intimate recordings on 4-track cassette.
These recordings served as the foundation for his double LP titled ‘Elements of Nature.’
As I delved into crafting the album’s artwork, my inspiration stemmed from the analogue photographs he captured during his residency, drawing from the contemplative essence and distinctive architecture of the building, as well as the tranquility of the surrounding landscapes.
